IT ADMINISTRATOR

We are looking for an IT Administrator for our client, a successful software company in Northern Germany.

As an IT administrator for databases and middleware (gn), you will be responsible for our databases, applications and IT infrastructure. With your hands-on mentality, you install various technology components and thus contribute to the establishment of further digitisation processes in the company. Your tasks include:

Your area of responsibility also includes:

Installation of technology components that serve as the basic infrastructure of the company’s own software solution kVASy®. These technology components include databases, application servers, web servers and the like.
Provision of IT infrastructure in the form of server, storage and backup hardware as well as virtualization and backup solutions.
Operation and maintenance of the aforementioned IT services in the internal and external computer centre and via remote maintenance on customer systems
IT-Servicedesk as Single-Point-of-Contact for troubleshooting and implementation of standard changes

You’ll suit us if you:

have a degree in computer science or business informatics, an apprenticeship as an IT specialist, a comparable education or experience.
have some or all of the following specialist knowledge:
Oracle databases and middleware
Linux and Windows operating systems
Operating the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
Backup solutions such as EMC Networker and Veeam
Monitoring the availability and utilization of IT services
Virtualization solutions such as VMware and Hyper-V
Current server, storage and backup hardware systems
bring the following interdisciplinary experience to the above-mentioned specialist knowledge – but it is not a must:
Project experience in the provision of IT environments
Operation and maintenance of IT services via remote maintenance, but also in the data center (1st, 2nd and 3rd level support)
Knowledge in the areas of ITIL, quality management, EU-DSGVO as well as ISO 27001 and IT-Basic Safety (Grundschutz)
work in a customer-, service- and process-oriented manner, taking an analytical and independent approach.
